Mapping Emotions

This is a map of emotions and experiences people experiences around the Penn State campus. The data was obtained through Community Mapping Day 2026, a GeoGraphics Lab event. During the process of making the map, I had revisied my skills in illustrator and got reacquainted with the tools and workflows that I haven’t used as I was working on online maps. This was my largest format print so far. With the complexity of data, I had to explore visual hierachy and color palette carefully so people are guided to see the important information.
